Mauricio Mata, Head of Coaching for the VCF Academy in Houston: “First of all, we want to thank Valencia CF for their trust and for this great opportunity. It fills us with pride and satisfaction to form part of this great club. It is of the utmost importance to us that our players have the opportunity to learn and apply the VCF Academy methodology. The academy has always been characterised by it’s great work with young players.”
Borja Eroles, Head of International Projects for Valencia CF: “We are delighted to be able to open this new project. In January we ran a campus in Houston, and we saw the level of commitment and professionalism that our partner has. We decided to open our first VCF Academy in Houston as a result. As a club, our objective is that this is the first of many in the area, and we want to help young players develop using the Valencia CF methodology, tied in with the sporting values that represent us.”
This VCF Academy in Houston joins the club’s international network, which includes Japan (Osaka and Wakayama), the USA (New York, Miami and Seattle), Canada, Portugal Morocco, Italy, the UK and Greece. These international agreements help the club to spread its working methodology and show the image of Valencia CF around the world.
